WeChat Login Configuration

Configure WeChat account login (China only)

China only. WeChat website login is for a China deployment. gettinyship.dev should keep the social buttons on Google and GitHub.

WeChat scan login needs an enterprise account on the WeChat Open Platform. Individuals cannot apply.

Setup Steps

  1. Open the WeChat Open Platform (微信开放平台).
  2. Register a developer account and complete verification.
  3. Management Center (管理中心) => Website Application (网站应用) => Create Website Application (创建网站应用).
  4. Fill in the application fields the console asks for.
  5. Copy AppID and AppSecret.
  6. Set the authorization callback domain: Website Application (网站应用) => Details (详情) => Development settings (开发配置) => Authorization callback domain (授权回调域).

Environment Variables

WECHAT_APP_SECRET="your_wechat_app_secret"

Callback Domain

Local Development: localhost:7001

Production: yourdomain.com

WeChat Open Platform callback domain only needs the domain name, not the full path.

Important Notes

  • WeChat scan login requires enterprise qualification, individuals cannot apply
  • Enterprise verification must be completed on WeChat Open Platform
  • Callback domain must match the actual access domain
